Kusatsu Shizukayama
Kusatsu Town, Gunma Prefecture
草津シズカ山スキー場 群馬県草津町
Kusatsu Shizukayama was a ski area on the south-eastern slopes of Mt Kusatsu Shirane in Kusatsu Town, Gunma Prefecture. There was a shared lift ticket with Kusatsu Onsen - at the time known as Kusatsu Kokusai - as well as a shuttle bus between the two ski areas. There were also plans to physically connect them. Kusatsu Onsen is on the north-eastern slopes of the same mountain and is still operating. The famous onsen hot spring town area of Kusatsu is about 4km to the north-east.
