Snowboard World Heights was a ski area located in the Kita Shiga area of Yamanouchi Town in the northern region of Nagano Prefecture. It was just to the north of - and within walking distance from - the Kita Shiga Komaruyama ski area. Until the last few seasons of operation, this area was known as Kita Shiga Heights. After changing the name to Snowboard World Heights, they concentrated on specifically appealing to snowboarders.

  • Snowboard World Heights was originally known as Kita Shiga Heights  北志賀ハイツスキー場
    　
  • The name was changed for the last few years of operation when they concentrated on appealing to snowboarders
    　
  • 2001 guidebooks show that 90% of visitors were snowboarders
    　
  • There were numerous park areas and facilities included as many as five half-pipes
    　
  • One half-pipe could be reserved for private use
    　
  • Some artificial snow making machines were used at this area
    　
  • This ski area - snowboard area? - was located next to Kita Shiga Komaruyama and opposite X-JAM Takaifuji on Mt Kosha
    　
  • The lifts have been removed but some concrete bases and buildings remain
