Snow World Tazawa was a ski area located close to the eastern shores of Lake Tazawa in Semboku City, Akita Prefecture. It was originally known as Tazawako Minami (Tazawako South), perhaps because it was just south of the larger Tazawako Ski Resort. The 35m tall Tazawako Konjiki Daikannon statue is close-by. At one time there were four ski areas in this region, but currently only the nearby Tazawako remains operating.
