Tazawako Kogen ASSL was a ski area located on the north western slopes of Mt Akita Komagatake and about 10km to the north east of Lake Tazawa in Semboku City, Akita Prefecture. It was originally known as Tazawako Kogen. ASSL stood for ‘All Season Spa-resort Land’. The still-operating Tazawako ski area is close-by.
