Mikawa was a ski area located in Kumakogen Town in Ehime Prefecture. Mikawa opened in 1960 and it was one of the larger ski areas on the island of Shikoku in western Japan. It was a 90 minute drive from Matsuyama City and also accessible from the south and Kochi Prefecture. Mikawa often struggled with low snowfall and eventually closed in 2010.
