Ogahara Kogen was a ski area located by the side of Route 186 in the north-western region of Hiroshima Prefecture. In recent years it struggled with low levels of snowfall. The last day of operation for Ogahara Kogen ended up being on 25th February 2018, after not being able to open at all during the 2018-2019 winter season.

Further Information

  • Ogahara Kogen planned to open for the 2018-2019 season but due to a lack of snow never operated for even one day
    　
  • Management announced on 10th December 2019 that with the forecast of a warmer-than-usual winter, the area would not open for the 2019-2020 season
    　
  • It seems unlikely that Ogahara Kogen will re-open
