Ski Park Kanbiki was a ski area located on the northern slopes of Kanbikiyama in Kita Hiroshima town, Hiroshima Prefecture. Ski Park Kanbiki opened in 1963 and featured one pair lift and one triple lift. The region had been experiencing less snowfall but Ski Park Kanbiki also sufffered from a declining number of visitors, ageing facilities and increasing maintenance costs. It closed in 2018 after about 50 years of operation.

  • However that never seems to have been the official name...
    　
  • It was announced in October 2018 that Ski Park Kanbiki would not be opening for the 2018-2019 winter season
    　
  • Sunday 4th March 2018 ended up being the last day of operation
    　
  • Official reasons for closing the ski area were the declining ski population, ageing facilities and increasing maintenance costs
    　
  • Less reliable snowfall in recent years also did not help
