Kuriyama
Kuriyama Town, Hokkaido
栗山スキー場 北海道栗山町
Kuriyama was a ski area located close to the centre of Kuriyama Town, to the east of Sapporo City in the northern island of Hokkaido. This town-operated facility was also known as Kuriyamacho, the ‘cho’ meaning town. After being closed during the 2018-2019 winter season, in 2019 the town decided to close the ski area rather than invest in the required maintenance of ageing facilities.
