Myoko Panorama Park was a ski area located behind Myoko Kogen Station in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture. There were five lifts in total at this ski area, three in a northern area and two in a southern area with a small river in between. The two areas were originally independently known as Myoko Yamato and Myoko Higashiyama. Myoko Panorama Park has been closed since 2003 but various structures remain on the hill.

  • Myoko Panorama Park was originally two independent ski areas
    　
  • The northern area used to be known as Myoko Yamato ski area  妙高大和スキー場
    　
  • That area offered mostly intermediate level courses as well as a 70m ski jump
    　
  • At an unconfirmed time, Myoko Yamato changed name to Myoko Panorama
    　
  • The two lifts on the south side of the river (Numbers 5 and 6) used to be known independently as Myoko Higashiyama ski area  妙高東山スキー場
    　
  • That area offered beginners slopes and a 40m ski jump
    　
  • Myoko Higashiyama joined Myoko Panorama to became one joint operation
    　
  • Records of only 5 lifts can be found on old images and maps, but the lifts were numbered 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6
    　
  • It is unclear if there ever was a Number 4 lift
    　
  • There were floodlit night operations on the north side of the resort at one time
    　
  • Lift chairs have been removed, but various abandoned ski lifts towers, foundations and structures remain on the hill
    　
  • Please note that the old ski area location is on private land and trespassing is discouraged
