Yasuda Chomin
Agano City, Niigata Prefecture
安田町民スキー場 新潟県阿賀野市
Yasuda Chomin was a small ‘skiers-only’ area on the northern slopes of the 101.6m Kuboyama. It was in what used to be Yasuda Town in Niigata Prefecture, about 30km to the south-east of central Niigata City. Chomin basically means ‘managed by the town’. Yasuda Town merged with one other town and two villages in April 2004 to become Agano City. The Suntopia World amusement park is on the other side of the same hill.
